Time can be taken out of a person and stored. 

You work for the House. Every night they name one debtor, and you go and collect what that person owes. You get paid in the same stuff you collect 

There is one number in this game. It's at the top of the screen. It's your money, your fuel, and your countdown, all at once. Walking spends it. Standing still spends it, slower. Getting caught spends it.
